On 1 October 2015, the 3rd meeting of the European Automotive Skills Council took place in Rome. Project partners (CLEPA, ETRMA and industriAll) and supporters (ACEA, CEEMET) met with EASC members and potential members from France, UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Germany.

The participants discussed the intermediary results and status of the Automotive Skills Survey, which is currently being finalised by the projects’ external experts. The survey will help to gain insight into current skills gaps, shortages and mismatches in the European automotive landscape and how to remedy this situation by sharing information and best practices amongst European partners.

At the meeting was officially established the Industry Core Group, a dedicated platform for corporates in the framework of the European Automotive Skills Council. Its first meeting will take place on 2 November 2015 on CLEPA premises.

The final conference of the European Automotive Skills Council will take place on 25 February 2016 in Brussels.
